Health Claims Customer Service Representative

Full-time/Part-time | Multiple Openings
Location: Janesville, WI or Remote (within 60 miles)

Job Description:

  • This position consists of inbound and outbound calls regarding medical policies with policyholders and providers.
  • Also includes verifying and explaining health insurance benefits with different types of supplemental health plans and describe exclusions and non-covered treatment.
  • Assisting customers with locating in-network providers to obtain the best possible benefit for their insurance policy.
  • Miscellaneous clerical duties are required as part of the roles and responsibilities of this position.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills is a must.
  • Able to multi-task while taking inbound calls.
  • Be able to meet metrics assigned to this position regarding abandonment rates, talk time and speed of answer for inbound calls.
  • Knowledge in medical terminology is required.
  • Health claims and prior customer service is preferred by not required.
  • Strong computer skills with a typing speed of 50+ WPM
  • Able to work with little supervision
  • Knowledge of Google applications is a plus (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Excel)

Education: High School Degree or equivalent
